What is Rely?

Effective date:

June 21, 2026

Rely is a secure due diligence platform used by real estate teams to collect, organize, and review transaction documents.

If you were asked to upload files to Rely, it means a buyer, seller, broker, property manager, lender, or other transaction participant is using Rely to help complete diligence faster and more accurately.

Rely helps teams review documents like leases, rent rolls, contracts, work orders, financials, and supporting property files. Every upload is tied to a specific transaction or audit request and is only accessible to authorized parties.

Why did I receive a Rely upload request?

You may have received a Rely link because a transaction team needs documents to complete diligence, verify property information, or run an audit.

Rely does not request documents on its own behalf unless we are directly engaged to support a customer. In most cases, Rely is the technology provider for the company that sent you the upload request.

Common use cases include lease file audits, transaction diligence, contract review, vendor review, utility analysis, work order review, and financial support.

What happens after I upload?

After files are uploaded to Rely, they are made available to the authorized transaction team connected to the request.

Depending on the project, Rely may help organize files, classify documents, extract key information, compare documents against other records, and create audit outputs for the customer.

Rely keeps outputs linked to the underlying source documents so transaction teams can verify where information came from. If this sounds interesting and helpful to you, please reach out to us through our web form!

Who can access uploaded documents?

Only authorized users associated with the specific project or transaction can access uploaded files.

Upload links are unique to a specific request. Rely customers control who is invited into their project, and files are not publicly accessible.

Rely does not sell uploaded documents or transaction data.

If you are unsure who requested the upload, contact the person or company that sent you the Rely link. You can also contact Rely support and we can help verify the request.

How does Rely protect data?

Rely is built for sensitive real estate transaction documents.

We use secure upload links, permissioned project access, encrypted file transfer and storage, and operational controls designed for enterprise real estate customers.

Rely has started its SOC 2 audit process, with Type I targeted for July 2026 and Type II targeted for September 2026. Additional security information is available upon request.

What documents might I be asked to upload?

Depending on the transaction or audit, you may be asked to upload lease files, renewals, addenda, rent rolls, vendor contracts, utility documents, work orders, operating statements, invoices, reports, or other transaction-specific files.

Only upload documents that were requested by the transaction team. If you are unsure whether a document should be included, contact the person who sent you the upload request.

What Rely does not do

  • Rely does not make transaction decisions.

  • Rely does not replace legal, accounting, or investment advice.

  • Rely does not sell uploaded documents.

  • Rely does not request documents unrelated to a transaction or audit.

  • Rely does not make your files publicly available.

If a request seems unusual, you can verify it with Rely or with the company that sent it.

How can I verify a Rely request?

Before uploading, you can confirm that the link came from someone involved in the transaction, that the request matches the project you are working on, and that the upload page references the correct company, property, or transaction.

Still unsure? Contact us and we can help verify whether the request is legitimate.
